Smoky Quartz has a compact and semi-muscular build, though he is smaller than most of the Facet 1 gems as he is often called a "runt" by his comrades. He wears his hair in a messy, unconventional medieval haircut; shoulder-length, and tied up in a ponytail. His hair is faded brown, with a prominent streak of grey over his left eye. His pupils and eyebrows are dark brown, but he has no irises. He has a prominent nose and a strong jawline. Normally he wears a ripped, dark grey tunic over a chain mail shirt, which reveals his gem that is located on his chest. His pants are baggy, with multiple dust brown patches.
